We're back! After a couple weeks off for spring break, our actors all have their roles for this semester's production of "Pirates of Penzance" and we're ready to get back to work!
Week 5 means it was audition week for both of our ensembles! Auditions are serious business, but we always try to shake off some of the nerves with a good warmup and (in classic ABLE Ensemble style) a serious dance party!
Our ensembles got in touch with both their wild and emotional sides in class this week with a tiger-themed dance party for our Friday class, and an impressive game of "Character Squares" for our Monday class!
From singing their own solos to tackling complicated choreography, our actors continue to push themselves further and further each semester! Check out our rehearsal recap to read about their amazing discoveries!
There's lots of music (and LOTS of words) to learn for a show like "Pirates of Penzance" so even though it's only week two of rehearsals, both of our ensembles are already hard at work!
This week, we asked each of our ensembles some questions about buried treasure- what they'd like to find, and what they'd like to keep hidden away on a deserted island!
Our rehearsals for "Pirates of Penzance" are underway! Check out our blog to see more of what our ensembles learned in their first classes of the semester
