Our actors were off enjoying spring break all last week, so in lieu of our usual Monday Rehearsal Recap, this week we're happy to bring you a bonus Ensemble Spotlight post! In addition to volunteering with our Monday night ensemble, this facilitator is also a valuable member of the administrative team at our partner organization, Chicago Children's Theatre. She helps us, and all of CCT's training programs behind the scenes to make sure we're running smoothly!

When you're not at ABLE, what's your job?: Training Programs Administrator for Chicago Children's Theatre.
How long have you been with ABLE?: This is my first semester!
Why did you start working with ABLE? Have you done this type of work before?: I wanted to be involved with this great program as a CCT representative and to meet these great actors! I've also worked with CCT's Red Kite Program for kids on the autism spectrum.
Favorite memory from an ABLE class or performance?: I'm still early in, but so far, it's the dance parties at the beginning of class when everyone cuts loose.
Tell us a bit about your performing and/or teaching background: I majored in theatre production, so I was more behind the scenes, but also have improv training. I've been assisting teaching theatre for 2 years now.
Between acting, singing, and dancing, what's your favorite way to perform?: Dancing!
Do you have a hidden talent?: I play the viola (the instrument, not the Twelfth Night character), and memorize scripts/songs/movies very quickly!
Who is your favorite performer? What do you like about him/her? Right now, Robin Wright. She's different but powerful in every performance.
What's your go-to dance party song?: "Recovery" by Frank Turner
