Brush up your Shakespeare...and geography, history, and pop culture and join us for A.B.L.E.'s 3rd Annual quizABLE Trivia Night.
You never know what questions might be in store, but with Stew Jamesson of Stewpendous Productions as M.C., you're guaranteed an entertaining evening of throwback jams, engaging trivia, creative puzzles to solve, and two giant barrels of fun!
Register your team (5 to 10 players), B.Y.O.B., and put your knowledge to the test as you compete against other teams to win unique prizes.
Doors open at 6pm for check in and mixing and mingling with other A.B.L.E. supporters
Trivia starts at 7:00pm
All proceeds from quizABLE Trivia Night will benefit A.B.L.E. - Artists Breaking Limits & Expectations. A.B.L.E. is a Chicago based nonprofit that creates theatre and film projects for, with, and by individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental differences. Together, we can create opportunities for individuals of all abilities to share who they are and what they are A.B.L.E. to do!
Event FAQs
How do teams work?
This year, quizABLE will welcome teams of anywhere from 5 to 10 players. At the time of ordering, you will be asked to create a new team or join an existing team. We strongly recommend you designate a team captain to purchase tickets and reqister all team members at one time to avoid confusion.
Can I come on my own?
At A.B.L.E., we're all about working as an ensemble, and that's true for this event as well. All attendees must register as part of a team.
How do I get there?
St Matthias School Hall is located in Lincoln Square at 4910 N. Claremont St . , Chicago IL 60625
Drive: It is about a 30 minute drive from downtown Chicago. There is a small parking lot at the school, and ample street parking available.
EL: 10 minute walk from the Western Brown Line Station
Bus: #49 (Western Ave.) or #81 (Lawrence Ave.
Will there be food?
Yes! We will have catering available from various local vendors with salads, sandwiches, and snacks to suit a variety of dietary needs. There will also be water and soda available. This event is BYOB.
Did you say BYOB?
We did! Bring your drink of choice to share with your team (or not).
I don't know anything about A.B.L.E. or theatre. Could I still win?
Absolutely! Trivia questions will cover a wide range of topics including pop culture, sports, history, and more. The most successful teams will have members with all different types of knowledge. Along the way, we'll throw in some bonus rounds to help you learn more about A.B.L.E.'s mission and history. There are prizes for the top teams, but the real prize is helping A.B.L.E. continue to provide creative and social opportunities for individuals of all abilities.
