As we get ready to bid goodbye to 2025, it is also time for us to say goodbye to A.B.L.E.’s Development Manger, Michelle Blose.
Michelle started in her part-time role at A.B.L.E. in December 2022. In her time with us, she has worked closely with our community to coordinate special events including front of house volunteers for our ensemble performances, special movie screenings and more. Michelle has helped to grow our #giveABLE and anniversary fundraising campaigns, with a focus on building lasting relationships with monthly donors. She also spent considerable time applying for grant funding, drawing in ABLE’s largest-ever grant from the DCASE Chicago Arts Recovery Project, and building new relationships with institutions like FunFund as well as corporate sponsors like Chartcoalblue and Forvis Mazars.
“Whether it's working with the Board to develop fundraising strategy, or talking to total strangers about our work at a local farmer's market, Michelle has done so much over the past 3 years to grow our community at A.B.L.E.. She's been an invaluable thought-partner for me, and such a devoted champion for our work. I'm so grateful for all she helped to build."

Michelle is leaving A.B.L.E. to start a full-time development position at another organization close to her home. It’s an exciting opportunity for her to push herself professionally and support her family. Michelle will continue to cheer on our ensembles from the audience:
“I have truly enjoyed the past 3 years serving as A.B.L.E.’s Development Manager and I will be forever grateful for my time here. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with such a creative, bold and caring community. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for A.B.L.E.!”
Michelle Blose
Michelle’s last day with A.B.L.E. will be November 30th.
If you have any questions about this transition, or need assistance with your donations or fundraising efforts, please reach out to Katie who will be coordinating all things development in the interim.
