Be a part of a Transformative Season
Every year, A.B.L.E.’s program advisory council votes on a theme to anchor our artistic season. For the 2026-2027 season, they have selected the theme of Transformation. This is a fitting theme as we navigate a leadership transition, and reimagine our programs, We are inviting YOU to help lay the groundwork for the future of A.B.L.E., and ensure we can continue offering transformative performing arts opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Throughout the season, we will offer a series of one-off workshops and short courses to explore new areas of stagecraft and performance. Our season will also include 3 showcase ensembles – including 2 virtual options – and an original performance co-directed by Perry Hunt and Ruby Gibson. We have potential to reach 190 participants across 206 hours of programming – but we can’t do it without you.Â

Expand Your Reach
When you sponsor an A.B.L.E. performance, your company becomes part of our community, including:
Make an Impact
Sponsors underwrite the essential costs of our work so that we can continue to grow our programs. Your sponsorship will allow us to provide radically inclusive experiences for our actors and audiences this season.
Authentic Representation
Across the season, A.B.L.E. will work with up to 80 actors with varying intellectual and developmental disabilities to put their unique talents, interest, and perspectives in the spotlight.
Production Value
Every script is developed collaboratively with the ensemble and brought to life through costumes, props, sets, and lighting. While theatre practice underpins all of our work, A.B.L.E. draws on dance, music, puppetry, and film to highlight the ensemble’s skills and interests.
Accessibility for All
A.B.L.E. prioritizes audience accessibility at all public events and provides industry-leading accommodations, including open captioning, dual ASL interpretation, and sensory support materials, to ensure all audience members know they belong in the theatre.
Support for Artists
Our program relies on professional Teaching Artists to lead the neurodiverse ensemble of actors and facilitators. A.B.L.E. provides an equitable, living wage for our creative staff, ensuring everyone has the support they need to thrive.
Removing Barriers
A.B.L.E. wants everyone to have access to the arts, regardless of finances. All our programs and performances are pay-what-you-can. We also offer technology and travel assistance for our actors and volunteers.
