Give a little. Give a lot. Give what you are ABLE

About Our Work
For a decade, A.B.L.E. has created work guided by the belief that everyone is A.B.L.E. to connect, contribute, and create.
Through our core ensembles and community outreach sessions, we nurture each individual’s unique gifts, helping them build confidence, agency, and vital life skills through creativity and collaboration.
As the only I/DD-focused arts organization in Chicago that creates original works and prioritizes leadership opportunities for our disabled participants, we are committed to pushing boundaries and building more inclusive communities.
We have a bold vision for our future, including expanding artistic employment opportunities and growing our community outreach sessions (learn more about our 5-year plan here).
We can’t do it without YOU!
We’re asking YOU – our family, friends, and supporters – to rally around us to raise $30,000 before the end of the year. By supporting our #giveABLE campaign, you are giving:
- Connection:Â Our ensemble program offers pay-what-you-can registration and box office pricing to ensure that everyone can access the arts regardless of finances.
- Collaboration: A.B.L.E. champions leadership opportunities for disabled artists, through initiatives like our Program Advisory Council and Creative Associates initiative, so we serve as a model for disability representation both on and off stage.
- Creativity: A.B.L.E. nurtures a safe space for actors to express their authentic selves while developing courage, collaboration, and communication skills that support them in and out of the rehearsal room.
Our year-end campaign not only helps us fulfill our plans for this season, but also helps determine our budget for next season – and beyond. Â The more you give, the more we are A.B.L.E. to do together!
In the theatre, we know each member of an ensemble plays an important role in what we build together. YOU play an important role in ensuring A.B.L.E. can continue providing professional, accessible performing arts programming for people of all abilities. Whether it’s $5, $25, $150, or $500, every dollar makes a difference, so…
