Workshops & Short Courses

Learn new skills and make friends in these experiential workshops led by A.B.L.E.’s team and local guest artists

About Workshops and Short Courses

Join A.B.L.E.’s teaching artists and special guest artists to explore different performance styles in these experiential sessions. Topics include puppetry, musical theatre, improvisation, and more!

With a range of one-off workshops and shorter courses, these sessions are a great for new actors to see if A.B.L.E. is right for you, and for experienced performers to expand their skills.

Like every A.B.L.E. session, workshops are designed with different communication and learning styles in mind. As we work together and try new things, actors build skills and relationships that will help them onstage and in their day to day lives.

Short Course Registration

Our three-week short courses offer participants the time and space to dive deeper into a specific area of practice. Each session focuses on a distinct topic and culminates in a 15-minute presentation in our rehearsal space, giving participants the chance to share what they’ve discovered and developed with their supporters.

Whether you’re looking to sharpen your craft, explore a new form, or simply spend three weeks immersed in a creative practice, our short courses invite you to dig deeper and see where the work takes you.

Registration for October and November in-person short courses are currently open.

Workshop Registration

Our one-off workshops are a chance to step outside your usual practice and spend a little time playing with a specialty topic. Each workshop is a single-session experience designed to be fun, accessible, and hands-on with no long-term commitment required.

These workshops invite participants to experiment, get curious, and discover new creative tools and techniques in a playful environment.

Registration for October and November workshops are currently open.
